Performing A Statewide Criminal Check
Criminal checks are performed more and more as the crime rate increases around us.  From business owners to individuals now perform a statewide criminal check before getting into any sort of dealings with strangers.

When hiring people there is no way that business owners can figure out the exact nature of the person being hired and towards this end, before hiring people, business owners ensure they check out their backgrounds, including their criminal records to ensure they do not have a criminal past.  Even individuals who are engaging the services of people in various capacities at home, such as nannies, baby sitters and drivers perform these checks to ensure the safety of their loved ones, which could include their spouse and children.

Investigation companies perform a statewide criminal check on people and they can be hired by business owners or individuals to get the most accurate details. Getting a clean chit means that the concerned person does not have any criminal record with the State court.  The courts maintain all the criminal record details of any crime committed in their State.  This information may not be available to the public in all the States; however, this data is made available to private investigators with special permission.   Investigators have access to all the records of the State, County, Federal and private organizations and can easily perform a statewide criminal check.

Many companies claim to provide these nationwide criminal record checks; however, these claims are not true in most cases. The reason is because a thorough database containing complete records is not yet made available to the public or even to the private investigators. The nationwide records are only accessible to the FBI and no one else.
